Situated on 50 acres of land, Pioneer Acres is aimed at preserving Alberta's heritage. We are conveniently located about 45 minutes north-east of Calgary and offer over a dozen buildings filled with unique exhibits and artifacts from our pioneering era.
"Pioneer Acres and its dedicated volunteers actively preserve, display, and demonstrate equipment and artifacts that were used by the pioneers of Western Canada."
Many days during the summer, Pioneer Acres is more than just static displays. We often have antique tractors or trucks being driven around the grounds, but our signature event is our Annual Show in August. You'll need all three days to see everything!
Our friendly staff work to make your visit enjoyable and are always available to answer questions. If you are interested in what it was like in Alberta 100 years ago, we invite you to come out and have a look. You won't be disappointed. If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a member, we can help you with that too.
Closed for the season.Re-open May 15, 2017.
