Pioneer Acres is operated by a team of volunteer members who, in many cases, have extended their golden years of retirement, performing the duties necessary to meet the club's objectives. These include work to collect, restore, maintain and demonstrate the artifacts which were used by the pioneers of early Alberta.
The end result is that present and future generations have the opportunity to glimpse into our pioneering past through the artifacts on display and demonstrated. Younger members of the club also learn the care, maintenance and operation of these living artifacts.
Application for Membership Membership forms can be obtained from a member or from the Museum office. You require an existing member to be your sponsor and all applications must be approved by Board of Directors.
Corporate sponsorships are also available
As a member, what do I have to do? The short answer is: Get involved! You see, there are many things you can do as a member of Pioneer Acres. There is everything from restoring a tractor to making ice cream at the show. To start with, you should attend the quarterly business meetings to find out what's happening and where our needs are. Of course, you can just drop into the Pioneer Acres grounds and spending some time here! The Pioneer Acres Newsletter will keep you posted on events and activities. Sound like fun?
Corporate Sponsorship Corporate sponsorships are available for $500.00 annually. Pioneer Acres will supply a 4' x 8' sign for the donor which will be displayed on the front fence from May 15th to September 30th. The Corporate Sponsor would also be entitled to supply a flag of 36" x 72" to fly at Pioneer Acres. With a sponsorship, Pioneer Acres will also supply a plaque to be displayed at your place of business with space for annual year of sponsorship.
For the corporate sponsor, having signage along the front of Pioneer Acres property gives exposure to not only the thousands of visitors that we receive from May to September, but also to road traffic going by as well. The addition of a flag to fly at the front of our grounds is also a highly visible method of promoting your company. Both of these methods make clear your support of Pioneer Acres.
